This oil is undiluted; it has the consistency of syrup. Generally, customers who purchase Tung 100 are planning to thin it with their own solvent, mix it with their own preparations, want the longest possible shelf-life, or are otherwise familiar with its high viscosity and slow-drying characteristics. 

If you are looking for a penetrating oil, you might consider the Tung 75 or Tung 50, formulated to penetrate deeper and cure faster. For most purposes, polymerized Tung 100 will require thinning to make a good penetrating oil for most woods.

Our Tung 100 is pure oil. Unless otherwise requested, it ships without an added siccative(mineral drier). It may take several days to dry, in contrast to our blends, which include a drier to accelerate the curing time.
